World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria announced

Well, I wish them well with it. Cataclysm was enough to drag me back to WoW after a year's absence, and I had several months' fun out of it, but I dropped it again about six months ago, and don't see this expansion drawing me back for a third taste. I have higher hopes for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I admit to being curious. I picked up Cata and leveled my main character to 85 but dropped it after. I probably will get Pandarian and play around with it, but unlikely to subscribe to it for long.

The "war is the enemy" thing looks to be done very well. I was skeptical about this expansion until they explained that part at Blizzcon -- Pandaria being spiritually finely balanced and the presence of hostile parties bringing out what amounts to hatred elementals looks pretty darn cool to me, as it metaphorically tackles a problem the franchise has long had -- what if both the Alliance and Horde warmachines are as much a problem as the Lich King, et al.?
