[Worlds and Monsters] My sense of wonder is back

I have to agree. I have read both of the preview books straight through now and they have converted me from pessimistic to stoked. I especially liked the landscape art in World and Monsters. This book has given me all kinds of awesome ideas for plots and campaigns. I can't wait for 4E to come out.

I can't believe I just wrote that. Before reading R&C, I was flirting with grognardism.

But not with grognards. Eeww.

Hummmmm.... I might just get it now, if I can get my hands on some money.

Well hopefully 10 quid shouldn't be too hard to come by depending on your situation.

I myself was going to pick it up while I was in New York, but I left back for London the day it was released and I haven't checked out the London vendors yet.

…This Friday I think I'll pick up both R&C and W&M.

The only thing that I thing that I am not too keen on in those books is the inclusion Halflings and Dragonborn, everything else is sounding lovely and juicy.

10 quid would have been nice. My FLGS charged me £14.99.

It needs a lot more than some art to make 4E good. Story and especially machanics are a lot more important.
And yet, the fact that they dislike the artwork is reason enough for some people to declare an entire edition bad. ;)

People are strange. Some like this, some like that, some find A important, some find B more important. It would be much easier if we would all think the same way.

This universe sometimes sucks and doesn't look well-thought out... :)

To clarify. it might have sounded as if I am against 4E, and while there are some things which I am completely against, I am more or less neutral towards 4E.
I just wanted to say that art does not affect the quality of the new edition at all.

And others of us find the outstanding art and very cool story changes to be wonderful despite an entirely bad edition. ;)
