World's worst D&D soundtrack

Also: almost anything Uematsu or Kanno, as far as Japanese music/composers go. Uematsu's the man behind every Final Fantasy's music, while Kanno did music for Cowboy Bebop, the Escaflowne movie, and probably other stuff. :)

But for bad?

Dude, you gotta go with popular artists...

Though I do admit to hearing "let the bodies hit the floor" when the PC's are kickin' some arse on occassion. :)

Er....the soundtrack to the D&D movie? YEah, that'll work.

Fish Heads
(by Barnes & Barnes)

REFRAIN
Fish heads fish heads roly poly fish heads
Fish heads fish heads eat them up yum

REPEAT REFAIN

In the morning laughing happy fish heads
In the evening floating in the soup

REFRAIN

Ask a fish head anything you want to
They won't answer they can't talk

REFRAIN

I took a fish head out to see a movie
Didn't have to pay to get it in

REFRAIN

They can't play baseball they don't wear sweaters
They're not good dancers they don't play drums

REFRAIN

Roly poly fish heads are never seen drinking cappuccino
In Italian restaurants with oriental women yeah

REFRAIN
REFRAIN AGAIN
REFRAIN YET AGAIN
REFRAIN ONCE MORE (with music "off")
Yeah

Any album by Cibo Mato, Japanese trance-rap that seems to focus largely on food. I'll put that against anything.

But if you want something surreal, try Son Reinas: Japan's finest all-girl salsa band. Somewhere there is a module begging for this to be used as background, there just has to be.

"Fish Heads" cannot be the worst of all possible soundtracks, if only because one of the Barnes of Barnes & Barnes is actually Bill Mumy, a long time sci-fi genre actor. That's gotta count for something!

No, the absolute worst sound track of all time would be a record of one repeated sound bite - Jim Carrey in "Dumb and Dumber":

"You wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world? EHHHHHHHEHEHHHHHHHEHEHHHHHHHHHEHEH!"

I have friends who claim that's the noise elves make when they become confused....

Nothing kills D&D faster than the Annie Lennox song at the end of the otherwise phenomenal D&D album BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA soundtrack.

93.75% absolute perfect mood music for a great dungeon, and then bam- you're smack dab in the center of everyone looking around at the table and saying "what the hell IS this??"

<snip lyrics>
Mark, I am impressed. While I do own the actual fish head-shaped record of this song, I thought I was the only one who knew all the lyrics. Do you know what Academy Award-winning actress was in the video? :D

As for worst D&D soundtrack, I'd have to go with:

Grease
