World's worst D&D soundtrack

I would have to say that the worst music for D&D is anime based j-pop.

This brings to mind the soundtrack for vamire hunter-D. Great soundtrack except for the last song....

Whats with the vampire sountracks anyway?

Aaron.

Ah -- the delightful sounds of Min May, from the Robotech saga... (This one has been done in our group! "Bright light, stage fright; this is my big night; This is my chance to be a star!!!)

Elevator Music? Especially if it's clarinets playing "Bodies" by the Sex Pistols.

Finally, how about "Hey hey we're the Monkeys! People say we monkey around!"

"You wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world? EHHHHHHHEHEHHHHHHHEHEHHHHHHHHHEHEH!"

I have friends who claim that's the noise elves make when they become confused....

*gets a mental image*

ROTFLMAO!!!

can't... breathe... must... focus!

Once we were playing and we had the WinAmp on shuffle.

All was well. Metallica in battle...Diablo tracks in roleplaying...

And then....

Annie Lennox.

Any album by Cibo Mato, Japanese trance-rap that seems to focus largely on food. I'll put that against anything.

C'mon, Cibo Mato is fun (the ironic thing is that I consider even "good" anime to be akin to a labotomy). Maybe not a good D&D soundtrack, but not painful in itself.

For my entries on the worst D&D soundtrack:

Anything neo-classical (electronica elevator music).

Mannheim Steamroller would also tend to kill the mood.

soundtracks of torture

Most top 40 pop qualifies as torture in gameplay, which is anything that gets too much airplay on the radio. Which should be banned under the Geneva Convention. To clarify, that's the pop I hear stateside.

Christian Heavy Metal (which my friend has assured me does exist, and is his favorite kind of music.)

it exists. it's mostly terrible, but there have been a few largish thrash bands that were christiasn... for example stryper, and (i think) testament.

personally I can't stand stryper, but when i was 13 i didn't mind testament.
