I can't remember what it's called, but right after 3.0 was released, maybe Enemies and Allies or something like that. A fairly weak rogues gallery.

I voted for Deities and Demigods the Epic Level Handbook.

I actually really like both books. However, my problem with these two books is that, despite conventional wisdom that would have suggested that the material in DDG would have been a natural progression from ELH, the two texts are mechanically incompatible.

Yes, there are elements in both books that parallel each other (like the acquisition of skills, bab and save progression, etc.), but overall, there are too many glitches between the two similar, but different, rules sets to make them seemlessly work together.

While I understand WotCs decision to only require one to use the three core rulesbooks, this is one place that ignoring this noble (but misguided) attitude would have paid off.

Hey, I love Enemies & Allies, as well as the A&EG. I'll concede that the A&EG is overpriced; other than that, it's a good resource.

E&A is fun; I need to see about converting it to 3.5.

My pick was the Psionics Handbook. It was OK, but I find I rarely have any desire to use it.

AEG was a waste of my money, i might as well spent it on beer and pretzles and had more fun with it.

BoVD was not that bad, interesting but not that bad.

Anyone that votes SS useless needs to have their head examined

This is a great point, and one with which I agree. In addition, I think the "Epic City" setting is wasted space in the ELH, which could have been used for any number of things, such as more discussion of epic level play. Maybe the intent of that section was to show by example, but it didn't really do much for me.

The Book of Challenges had the most votes when I posted; another book I love! Very handy.

I voted for Deities & Demigods and the Epic Level Handbook (quite independently of the Serge). I think they were both ill conceived and poorly executed.

All of the choices in your poll pale in lameness to the Hero Builder's Guidebook.

"Ooooh boy! A list of goofy names by race! A bunch of min-max character builds that were immediately apparent to anyone who opened the PHB!
