Crappy comedies and bad horror flicks.


Of course, as a fan of bad horror flicks, I actually found a couple that I haven't seen yet. Added to list.

So I'm betting they only pulled ratings on movies that were released since the site went up, rather than go back into the archive and include movies that were certainly on VHS or DVD.

Well, when you look at the greatest films ever (by RT rating), you'll see, that this is not the case.

ALL movies in the Top 10 are oldtimers (Godfather being the newest of the bunch, IIRC), some even dating back to the 40s.

But I agree, Highlander II is an experience. I believe I left about 2/3rds the way through, much later than other people in the theater.

If you think Highlander II is bad, check out Vampires vs. Zombies.

I've never seen anything worse than that. And I watched the whole thing. Twice.

The point of that site is actually not to give a precise rating, but to give the mean of several reviews.

I know, but I had to voice my moral outrage nonetheless.


I think the point of the age of the good/bad lists truly is the number of reviews. For new movies, everyone and their brother reviews the movie on the week it comes out. So the new bad movies have enough bad ratings for them to be noticed.

For the good/notable movies, reviews get revisted or reposted or what have you because writing about good movies lends weight to your review opinions. Nobody goes back and digs up the release reviews for Manos: the Hands of Fate, because nobody cares.

Even then, note that Balistic: Ecks vs. Sever has nearly twice as many reviews as the Godfather. And Catwoman has more than three times as many. So the truly bad movies of the past have been lost to the mists of time. . . as they probably deserve to be.

I can't believe that "Bloodrayne" was only ranked 32 worst film ever.
However, I think that hafrogman might be right. "Nothing but Trouble" really sucked. I had blocked out the memory of the movie but now it is all coming back to me.

The actual Worst Movie Ever Actually has 11% fresh?! Because 1 of the 9 reviews actually liked it?!

Flabbergasted doesn't cut it anymore.

You think Nothing But Trouble is the worst movie ever? Me too! I guess great minds really do think alike.

The second worst movie I've seen: Exit to Eden. And worse, I saw it the same day I saw Mixed Nuts.

That is because it is beyond the rating system in bad, very few movies can be professionally bad but it is. Also, people who see it go insane and scream to others DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE EVER, PERIOD! IT WILL EAT YOUR SOUL!

I'm proud to say that I haven't seen any of the 100-90 on that list, and only two of the 89-80 ones (and one of those was just bits and pieces, I was visiting my sister and her kids had "Elektra" playing on the tv, so I didn't intend to watch it). The other one was "Gods and Generals", which I didn't think was that bad, although not great...

Before I even looked at the list, my personal "worst movie of all time" is Uwe Boll's Alone in the Dark. A truly stinky movie without even having the questionable quality of being so bad it's funny. It's just Teh Suck.

I am gratified to see Alone in the Dark rated as the second worse movie of all time. Yes, it made #2 on the list. I have never seen Ballistic. It must be extremely bad to be worse than Alone in the Dark.

I went back and looked at #s 10-1, and I'm extremely proud to say I haven't seen a one of them... and I always thought I had lowbrow tastes in movies...

Of course, most of the ones I like are probably buried in the middle of the list, which I haven't checked out yet...
