WotC Angst?

On a one-ten scale, how would you rate your level of WotC Angst?

Suddenly, there are a lot of angsty threads here in General RPG with regard to Wizards of the Coast. I am curious to see if the angst is representative of the ENWorld population as a whole, or merely the effect of a vocal minority.

And I love polls.

So on a one-ten scale...with 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest, and 5 being no more or less than any other company in the phone book...rate your overall angst level with Wizards of the Coast. The definition of "angst" is up to you.

1. Squee!!! (no angst at all)
2. Woot!
3. Yay!
4. :)
5. Hmm?
6. Meh.
7. Bleah.
8. Argh.
9. Grrrr!
10. RAWR!!! (total angst)

Bah. Should have left the numbers in. Oh well; the poll is supposed to be numbered from 1 to 10. You guys are smart, you can figure it out. :)

I went with 5. They haven't dazzled me, they haven't upset me. (shrug)

WotC doesn't do (nor has ever done) anything to illict an extreme nerd-rage or fanboy-ism from me. It's just another company and i'm indifferent to them.

Having said that, if i had to chose, since I don't "hate" them and they're involved with a hobby i enjoy, i err on the side of positive rather than negative.

I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other. But I do think they bungle customer relations far more than they do a good job. They just seem to have a knack for doing things in the worst possible way. :)

I have had my general like of WotC wane fast since about 2007. While I was generally happy with they're DDM, Dungeon Tiles, Supplements and Eberron support, some of their later ideas were getting to be too much (Tome of Magic/Battle were key here). Moving into 4e, I was initially elated, but quickly fell through the floor as I found 4e not at all to my liking and their supplemental materials either becoming less useful or outright poor. Essentials nearly brought be back into the fold, but the debacle with Char Builder sent me back home safely.

While I'm not anti-WotC (some of their board games look fun, as does Gamma World) I find they no longer produce anything I'm willing to spend hard-earned cash on.
