I once had over 100 such books, but I have recently sold or traded around half of them. It certainly saves on the shelf space.

I do like reading the books, though.

Counting only 3E D&D, and only books and modules, I am fast approaching 300. PDF's put me well over that.

If you want to add 2E, 1E, and old D&D just assume I bought 85% of what was on the market.

I fill one 10' long shelf and one large plastic crate (though this includes other editions as well). For 3E/3.5, I have sold my classbooks (am hoping to finish purchasing the complete books to replace them), but I am sure it is at least 50-100 books. I also own almost everything published for 1E, except some of the more rare things. If we add old issues of Dragon and Dungeon... add about 250 to that number (most of the Dungeon and a good number of Dragon magazines - mostly #'s 75-150 and the issues from just before 3E until about 18 months after if came out).

I am easily in the 50-70 crowd but only because of published adventures. WOTC stuff wise, I only own the three core D&D books, Vile Darkness, Miniatures Handbook, and Epic.

My gaming group buys tons of materials too. I cannot think of anyone in our group that owns just one book.

Scale doesn't go high enough. 49 WotC books here - mostly a mix of D&D (core + FR books, both 3e and 3.5e) and SWd20 books (original and revised).

  1. PHB (3.0)
  2. DMG (3.0)
  3. MM (3.0)
  4. OA
  5. D&DG
  6. Star Wars
  7. The Wheel of Time
  8. Call of Cthulhu
  9. Sovereign Stone Codex Mysterium
  10. Sovereign Stone Campaign Sourcebook
  11. Mongoose Pocket PHB

I had all the 3e splatbooks, but I sold them.

I count 74 RPG books in total on the shelf. So, WotC/d20 makes up about 15% of my collection.

Oh...& that doesn't count some modules & accessories (Geomorphs, DM screens, the Greyhawk folio & boxed set, Traveller LBBs) that are stored elsewhere. (I'm kind of scared about how high the number would get if I counted all those things as well...)
