WotC Miniature Replacement: Update

A while back I posted about my gold dragon's head not being properly glued to its body; in short, a defective product.

Today, I can report that I received a replacement from WotC. They were a pleasure to deal with and I now have a properly "headed" gold dragon.

Thanks to those who put me on the right track to get a replacement!

(p.s. I did have to send in the broken one, but that's to be expected for such a desirable mini).

I had to send in my Sauhagin Ranger for a replacement too, and that's no where near as desirable as the huge gold dragon.

Turnaround time was surprisingly short.

It is good to hear they are doing this. I have a couple that are bent (haven't tried Merric's heating them up trick yet...), but they are commons or uncommons, so not a big deal. I was wondering how things would be handled if a rare was damaged beyond repair.

I have several figures that were bent (a lot of ebay shopping to get the complete sets), and the water trick does wonders. There's really no need to send stuff around the country (or even world) - just get a cup of hot water, immerse the figures briefly, voilà.

Unfortuneately, my gold dragon's head was hanging half out of the socket so that the peg was clearly visible and the dragon was looking off and to the left. No amount of hot water was going to fix that!

My sauhagin ranger didn't have a head, left shoulder, left arm, or weapon. His neck ended in a square hole. It was like he was fangoriously devoured by something with a square mouth.

A little glue can do wonders... :)

Anyway, Wizards are excellent at replacing damaged figures (and missing statcards).

The hot water trick worked on my Bladesinger, and if it works on that, it will work on anything. :)

Cheers!

Oh my God!!! You got the ultra rare maimed sahuagin mini?!? That's going for a gajillion $ on Ebay!
