As nice it is to have 2e core books that aren't beaten up, yeah, I was disappointed that the deluxe versions that were released some years ago were the 90s versions, not the 80s ones.

There are rabid judges guild fans and a lot of those products didn’t survive well.

Plus there is the implosion of Judge's Guild and the removal of all their PDFs from Drivethru. I wish I had picked up the d20 setting books while they were available.

I love the current POD 1e hardcovers.

I prefer them over the ‘deluxe’ 4e-era reprints. Those had slightly smaller pages, and the text felt mighty close to the edges of the paper, IMO.
