I left the catalog on my desk at work but I'm pretty sure the Fane of the Drow and Hellspike Prison were 14.99 each.

Thanks - hmm; I think that's an attractive enough price to get them.

Cheers!

And let me tell you... It was actually a lot harder to write the "advice" chapters than it was the new mechanical features. (Thankfully, my background with certain other companies gave me a leg up in that department, though I had to filter all my previous experience through the D&D/fantasy lens.)

I'm really proud of the work, though, especially as it's my first WotC project. I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing what people think of it. :)

Ari, this sounds really cool, and by far is the thing I am looking forward to most from WotC this year! Can you tell us any more about it? How long is the book? It is more in the vein of gothic horror, cosmic (Chulhu) horror, etc? Is there any Far Realm goodness? I know you've probably got a non-disclosure agreement with Wizards, but any info you could provide would be much appreciated! :D

Unfortunately, you're absolutely right that my NDA precludes me from saying much about this book. Believe me, as frustrating as that may be for you, it's twice as much for me.

All I'll say for now is that if you want to introduce horror into your campaign, you should find something of use to you in this book, regardless of which "type" of horror you want.

And that really is as much as I can say for the moment. More the very instant I'm allowed to say more. :)

Perhaps they're riffing on the Bastion of Broken Souls concept and less- well, dead fetus.:\

That's what I was going to say, but I went to bed before.

Furthermore, Monte Cook did some stuff about it on his own. See "blessed children" in Book of Hallowed Might -- the spirits of not-yet-born souls, his idea of anti-undead.

Y'know, just the description had me intrigued. Knowing you wrote it, I'm absolutely picking this one up when it comes out.
