Except that, if a sale were in the works, probably Anthony wouldn't know about it. Having done several dozen mergers and acqusitions, several with publically traded companies, I can say with confidence that it is highly unlikely anyone in the WOTC subsidiary other than in-house counsel (if they even have one) or one person available for due-diligence would even know about it. In fact, it would be bad policy if they did know about it, due to the quiet-period restrictions placed on a public company. It would all happen at higher levels in Hasbro, and they may even have all the documents necessary to do due dil. out of the Hasbro offices without the Washington Office even needing a visit.
So the real question is, which law office represented Hasbro when they bought WOTC? And, is there an in-house counsel person on staff in Washington?
