WotC Summer 05 Product Lists

Battlefield Adventures could be about running campaigns set in/during war (which would be an expansion of the Mercenary Campaign section of Complete Warrior)...

Five Nations - Errrr an FR book?
Sounds like Eberron. Aren't there five nations that are the remnants of the nation that split apart in the recent civil war? I need to brush up on my setting history...

Well, there are some interesting sounding titles, but without more information... it's all just speculation.

yeah they sounds interesting...I can't wait for the tidbits to leak out...

"Genre Series"...now that's interesting.

If we take the first book to be about war/military as a genre, what comes next?

Swashbuckling? Chivalry? Horror?

What about swords-and-sorcery [as distinguished from high fantasy, and from D&D fantasy, which is really a genre unto itself]?

I think you're right but it would be good if a decent, but abbreviated, mass battles system was included.

I wonder if any of the titles are placeholders: "Champions of Ruin" just doesn't sound right, for example.

I'm surprised to see only one Eberron product (I'm not counting the character sheets: why pay for something that the Mad Irishman and others do a better job of for free?); I had thought there might be two or even three.

Swashbuckling? Chivalry? Horror?

Swashbuckling chivalric horror; where gallant knights and noble musketeers battle undead and aberrations in witty barroom brawls. :D

Champions of Ruin: - Module? Maybe a EVIL PC book?
Battlefield Adventures : A Genre Series Supplement - My initial thought was it would a D&D Mini's supplement...

Angelfire Booster Pack - Cool, Angel/Planar-themed Minis
Dungeon Master's Guide II : Race Builders Series - Savage Species 3.5?
Five Nations - Eberron Regionbook

Deluxe Eberron Dungeon Master's Screen - Might get this...
City of Splendors: Waterdeep - Long Rumored, now official
Weapons of Legacy : A Magic Series Supplement - Encyclopedia Magica LIVES!

Maelstrom :An Environment Series Supplement - I called it! Arctic, Desert, Underwater, the last one will be jungle...
Explorer's Handbook - I think this will be like the Planar Handbook....
Deluxe Eberron Player Character Sheets - Ok...

Legends Huge Pack - Cool, I need to get more of the ORIGINAL Huge packs..

I'm wondering if "Champions of Ruin" might not be an Eberron book. Maybe detailing Cyre or the hobgoblin lands. It might also just refer to the general set-up of the world following the Last War.
