WotC warped book covers...

I'm in Irving, but I don't seem to be having the warp problem. It may be that I keep them open enough that I haven't noticed the warp:)

And both of you Texas whipper snappers pipe down so an old man can sleep. I turn 32 tomorrow and I don't want to hear it.

Old man? I'm 35 now, with 36 this summer, which means that if you keep it up, I can run for president an nuke yer sorry %$@%$.

Savage Species? Bent.
Races of Faerun? Bent.
Arms & Equipment Guide? Bent.
Fiend Folio? Bent.

Me the consumer? Bent over.

Obviously this is NOT a regional issue.

WotC is unmistakenly aware of the ongoing problem, and it would be nice to have them make a move to eliminate this occurance for future releases, so I don't have to spend my valuable ( heh! ) time correcting these mistakes. Spending $4 bucks for some goo gone and working for 20 minutes getting that damn sticker off the BoVD was bad enough, but now I have to "play doctor" with EVERY new purchase?

My SS, RoF, and FF all had slightly warped covers, however being pressed beneath pounds of other books has caused them to dewarpify, mostly.

I would like to point out that, as far as I know, *all* North American shipments originate from the WotC warehouse in Grand Prairie, TX. I believe the books are trucked down from Canada to there and then shipped to distributors and retailers.

Having some knowledge of Grand Prairie, Texas, is it near the strip joint or near the auto junkyards? (Yes, I know of it from my lovely co-op days at glorious LTV Aerospace.) By the way, it never gets humid in Dallas, right?

I bought SS, A&Eg and RoF from amazon.com (holding off on FF, made my save! :D). I do recall that all my FLGS's copies of these books were bent which swayed me to buy them online (again). Looking at them all now after they have been sitting on a shelf with their brothers and sisters *flips thru* I can say that they are all slightly bent a bit. If I took them down and did a pile-on it may fix it but I'm pretty sure they didn't come that way. Probably because amazon shrink wraps them like crazy which would prevent them from showing the "bow effect" right away. I can say right now that if I ever saw a copy of one of these in a store that I would never buy it...

... which is saying something, just look at my d20 Purchasing Will save. :p
