You guys are seriously making me consider going through with my master plan to troll Gen Con by having a shirt with a fancy logo and the words "D&D 4th Edition - Coming December 2007!"

If anyone asks about it, I'll say they're giving them away at the WotC booth. :D

It's been coming since the 1970s. I officially predict that 8E is coming.
I officially predict that 4E will come before 8E!

Acknowledge my incredible prognostication ability!

You would be a hero to millions.

On the RPG.net message boards I created a poll a week or two ago asking who believes 4th edition will be announced at GenCon 2007. You can find the poll here. Announced not premiered mind you. Currently only 16% believed so. I'm curious of what the response would be like here especially given this new information.

If someone does want to create a poll here may I suggest they limit the responses to "Yes" and "No" and forget "don't care" because no one cares about those that don't care...

I'd be shocked if that was the whole catalog as well. I think it's a given that there's going to be more Eberron and FR fiction and I hope there's another book or adventure yet to be announced.
Absolutely true in regards to Eberron. Amazon, for instance, has Sea of Death by Tim Waggoner (the third Blade of the Flame novel) for February, When Night Falls by Parker DeWolf (the second Lanternlight Files novel) for March, and I would be surprised if The Darkwood Mask by Jeff DeSala (the fourth The Inquisitives novel) comes out later than April, given that the third, Legacy of Wolves by Marsheila Rockwell, came out in June.

Where are the WotC staff to question when you really need them?

Well ... Scott Rouse has said that he has less time to spend on the forums for a while, due to being involved in the preparation for GenCon. And running the D&D brand, I assume. :)

"D&D Keep on the Shadowfell adventure for levels 1-3 includes 1 or 3 double-sided poster maps. 96 page softcover, $29.95 April 15, 2008"

Is this the Keep on the Borderlands for 4E?
