Is there ANYTHING that happens that doesn't indicate that 4E is about to be announced?

Interestingly enough, I was making some tea last night, and as I finished drinking my cup, I noticed the tea leaves arranged themselves to read

"Barak Obama wins Democratic Nomination for President 2008"

Which obviously means that 4th edition is due out by September.

If Q2 turns out to be as sparse as Q1 then...

A) The stars are right and Great Cthulhu is about to rise.
B) WoTC ran out of ideas for dnd products.
C) Hasbro told WoTC to focus on Star Wars and the mini-lines
D) WoTC's told their designers to focus on producing exclusive content for the "digital incentive" or Gleemax
E) 4e is drawing near...

The schedule plus all the licenses being pulled says 4e to me. And for that I am happy. Some of us want our 4e.

Don't forget the D&D "weather crickets" -

What's Monte Cook doing?

How about Chris Pramas over at Green Ronin?

How about all those other 3rd party publishers who just continue to pump out D20 releases like there is no tommorrow? Oh. Wait.

The "weather crickets" seem to be indicating a change in the weather too. The sky may not be falling yet but the clouds are lowering.

Said it before. Will say it again. 2008 is the date! And I could not be more pleased. :D

Pramas has been predicting 4E for several years now. Him thinking it's imminent is not new.

And for crying out loud, do you want Monte to be chained to his desk? He's done his time and done more than his share of good work, and now he wants to write novels. Let him go!
