I personally find the idea rediculous. Everytime I see the Diablo 2 d20 conversion, or I spy the Everquest rpg book on the shelves, I guffaw and laugh, but I suppose someone has to be buying it for it to be a product.

That's funny, because I've heard better things about Everquest D20 than I have about Everquest the video game. And the Diablo 2 stuff was what it was, no one went to it looking for a deep storytelling experience :D .

Oh, and thanks for making the OP sound dumb, the thousands of people who bought and liked the above products feel dumb, and yourself look like an a:) :) .

I don't see what is so "rediculous" about it. People may like the environments the games posses or maybe it feeds the RPG market...

Actually I think it would be quite fun (maybe not for a long campaign) to have some elements of Mario or other side scrollers in games... or just characters popping in for geek's sake.

I've always wanted to see a game like the show ReBoot which did things like this...

Castlevania would probably be the easiest video game to convert to D&D.
Zombies, vampires, golems of all kinds, bats, lycanthropes, flying eyeballs, flying heads, death knights, skeletons, grasping hands, harpies, ghosts, fish men, magic weapons, curses, dungeons, giant serpents, skeletal dragons, giants insects, gargoyles, goblins, elementals, hags, killer plants. D&D has all of those things.

Then there's Zelda, but someone's already working on that. :)

Now, where'd I leave my x3 boomerang...

I was toying around with the idea of getting to work on Castlevania, based around the early series (1/2/3) but with definite mixes of the later (64, SotN). However, the problem would be I think it wouldn't be too different than Ravenloft in tone, or with enough variance to make truly worthwhile.

But I did stat out the Vampire Killer (+3 Holy, Bane (undead) Whip which can grow longer at different levels.)

I'd like to see an official final fantasy D20 supplement that handled the weird stuff like FF7 and 9. A Resident Evil rpg (hopefully Eden can get a liscense for use with AFMBE) would be cool too.
Someone created a Resident Evil setting for Call of Cthulhu.

Personally, I don't see why one would really play AFMBE when you could just play Call of Cthulhu or Hunter: TR, which I both think have a superior system to AFMBE.
