D&D 5E Would you buy a 5E updated reprint of the First Forgotten Realms Box Set

Would you buy a 5E update to the original Forgotten Realms Box Set?

I have the original box set, and it was rubbish. Some of the regional expansions that came afterwards were better, but unless you liked the Dale-lands, the original boxed set was very thin. So updating it to 5e would be completely pointless.

I'd buy a boxed set for the current FR, but I'm not interested in resetting the Realms back to the beginning, it would effectively kill it, removing the living quality that makes it so interesting.

SCAG and STK cover at least 1/3 - 1/2 of what they'd cover in an updated FRCG, we're not getting it.

While 1/3 is at least arguable (although I would opine it would be in the high side), 1/2 is definitely too high of an estimate. I'd say it's closer to 1/4, furthermore dependent on how much they might want to do with Kara-Tur, Zakhara, and Maztica (which, I believe, seems more likely to be back on the "existing" side of things from more recent mentions).

I have two copies of the original box set and it is awesome. I use one as a play copy and the other is mint.

I think a reprint would be amazing.

No, because I'm not mourning the Time of Troubles or the 3rd edition Realms. I liked the Spellplague for what it was, and I'm more than pleased with the Sundering as a setting for my now and future Realms games. If they publish any new Forgotten Realms stuff, it ought to be more about the Sundering, and how we got here from the Spellplague.

No, I don't think so. I have both the 1e and 2e FR boxes, along with the 3e FRCG. I don't think I'd want a 5e *update* of any of those. What I would like is a truly 5e FR campaign guide of some kind. One that is set in the late 1400s DR and covers more than just the Sword Coast. It does seem like we're getting that piece by piece (Out of the Abyss covers [part of] the Underdark, Storm King's Thunder covers the North, Tomb of Annihilation will cover Chult), but I'd like something along the lines of SCAG but with more detail, especially for other parts of Faerûn.

Well... I have Legacy of the Crystal Shard, Murder in Baldur's Gate, Scourge of the Sword Coast, the SCAG, PotA, OotA and SKT.

I'm right now in the middle of the process of unifying Volo's Guide to the North and these 5E books into one document.

I'm also referencing Dragon Magazine articles and some 4e adventures.
It will be a 200 pages document more or less.

I'm not interested in crunch except maybe expanded downtime rules for governing fiefdoms or simulate organizations. What I'd like would ve more fluff
