Would you buy new 100% compatable 1E modules?

Inspired by a thread I noticed this morning at DF, would you buy new 1E modules like those published as OSRIC compatable (requiring zero conversion to AD&D)?
I don't mean resales of old TSR modules, but completely new ones that use the 1E rules.

I personally ordered 2 of EXPRs OSRIC line and enjoyed both. I'd probably pay 2-$5 PDF and $10-15 for print (Lulu quality) assuming someone I trusted recomended it. I'd pay $20 for a book supplement. I'm sure if I saw these in person (at a game store) I'd plunk down more. I find its hard to spend money online (not seeing what your getting first hand).

There's are three reasons why I haven't:
  • I've once again sworn off running modules
  • I've already got a lot to serve as sources of inspiration (& haven't been able to use that inspiration enough yet)
  • I'm the last priority for how my paycheck gets spent, & currently that tends to mean I get about zero to spend on myself
If not for those factors, I'd probably have all the OSRIC, Pied Piper, & Inner City Games stuff.

I would buy an AD&D compatible module, but not because of any rules set. Rather, if I was to buy an AD&D module, it would be because of how good the module is.

So in other words, yes I would. :)

Absolutely, yes. Obviously, my primary criterion is whether a product is good or not, but there's no doubt that ease-of-use with my game is a big factor. I *can* convert things, but I'd rather use something that requires minimal or no conversion. That means that I prefer adventures that are written for OD&D, B/X, AD&D, or C&C.

There are quite a few such products out there, right now (OSRIC products, Pied Piper products, Goodman's 1E and C&C products, et cetera).

These days, I don't much care what system it's in, as long as it's a good module. I'll just end up converting it to my homebrew anyway.

I just ordered the new 1E DCC module (War of the Witch Queen), and have 1E version of Iron Crypts, and I've been looking at the XRP line of modules with an eye to buy ...

So I guess the answer is yes.

Depends on who does it. I've got some that are a good and some that are not so good. I'm open to the idea but just becasue it is for 1e is not enough for me to buy it.

Which ones did you like?

I think it was the 1e version of DCC 12.5 that was really good. I had played the 3e version and so knew I liked the story on that one. Curse of the Witch Head I think is my favorite of the few I've seen.
