Would you have bought the class compendium?

So now that we've seen the Weaponmaster and the Marshal, I was wondering how many here would have bought the class compendium? It's pretty clear for the most part these were not changed dramatically in any way: Being just errata for the PHB at most. So knowing the way these are turning out, would you have actually bought the CC or not? Personally, I couldn't see myself buying it and so it's cancellation was probably a good thing.

I'd have bought it most likely. Would be nice to have the correct version of older stuff in an actual book.

Yes. If it had been published in book form, it'd've been Essentials+ and usuable in Encounters. I'd be playing a Warlord vs the Phantom Brigade instead of a Beguiling-Strands spamming wizard. My party wouldn't be doing quite as well, but it'd've been fun.

(No, I'm not just speculating: the DM materials for Phantom Brigade /did/ allow characters from Class Compendium, but the book was cancelled. Everyone I've asked seems to think that the Dragon-published CC doesn't count, so no 'Marshal' for me, even if I'm willing to overlook the ignominious name.)

I'd have picked it up because I am a sucker for having everything. Being a DDI subscriber though I rarely pick up the books and just use the compendium and character builder.

I might have got it. I don't have a PHB, so it would be good to have. Then again, I don't have a PHB because I don't need one with DDI, so I might not bother.

I would have.

1) I don't have an original PHB. One of the others in the group bought it.
2) I like the new format. Fits better where I keep my books.
3) It's harder to see every option in one book on DDI.
4) I have decided in between 2008 and Essentials, that I like 4e enough that I want to have hard copy, even if it's horribly errata'd and out of date.

The updates were too minors. I’m kind of disappointed with the last update. I was expecting more. I like the philosophy behind 4th edition: if something is too strong, they publish an errata in order to keep everything in balance. But when something sucks, it gets ignored completely. I wish they gave a second life to underpowered options (things like sure strike, for example... or classes feature like ruthless ruffian). Those updates would have been great with that kind of philosophy in mind – since options that are really bad are not really option.

Well, hopefully I would have looked at the feat section before buying, so that I could then shop around for a deal on it. I would have wanted it for the Encounters+ format, because sometimes I need to be able to help people make characters the traditional PnP way, but I don't think it would have been worth it for MSRP price.

After looking at the material released so far, I think WotC made the right decision to cancel it.
