I could not agree more. I think that and B4 are my two favorites and I played them so many times it isn't even funny. If you ever visit Texas, you have a gaming table.

1. There are many gamers too young to have played the classic modules

Yes, but those same gamers are too young to really care about the old modules. They don't want to rehash our gaming history/memories, they want to create their own.

If they haven't played the module, and they know nothing about it, they are creating their own history and memories.

I second that, and B4, mentioned by Harlock. Might I also add X4-5 (the Desert Nomads series), L1-2 (Boot Hill and the Assassin's Knot), and B1 (In Search of the Unknown). And a lot more...

Nearly 100 votes so far, and the 'yes' voters are in an overwhelming lead (5 to 1 compared with 'no' voters. I hope WotC sees this. Then again, they probably don't take much stock in an internet poll (I woudn't blame them)

John, that's because the poll is self-selecting. Very few people that don't want them republished will come to this topic, unless they have strong feelings for some reason. Or if they're a moderator and want to make sure there's no flame wars going on. ;) (I believe in secret ballots--don't think I just told you what my vote was. :p)

Doesn't Nostalgomancer already have a corner on the market of buying up any old licenses WotC or other companies haven't deemed important enough to keep under a thick layer of dust?

:) Go ahead and ruin my day, why don't you. :) Yeah, you're right of course. Still, the poll indicates that some people want converted modules in print.

A print publisher would likely need to sell at least 2K or more of a module to make it worth their while, and this is a low estimate dependent on their being able to get the licensing agreement for next to nothing, IMO.
