yes, but from the sounds of it, if they could amke them more like the hackmaster ones (ducks).

What I mean is, from reports the ahckmaster ones are similar to the old ones, but with added humor AND added story/roleplaying opportunities.

Now I don't want added hmour, but the fleshing out of the mods dounds like a good idea to me.

It's interesting that many people are posting 'no' and why they think so, but the poll is resulting in an overwealming 'yes'.

I wish some more of the 'yes' voters would post their thoughts!

I voted yes, but with some qualifiers. First off, only the "classics" should be bothered with. That means Tomb of Horrors, Temple of Elemental Evil, Desert of Desolation, and select others (what those others are are up for others to debate).

Second, they shouldn't be straight conversions. They should be retooled to work with 3rd edition. That means things like encounter level and combat length should be taken into account. In certain classics there are literally monsters in every room. These should be cleaned up to the point where only the relevant encounters get included, and the other rooms get a more detailed treatment. Instead of 4 goblins being in a room, maybe there is a non-combat encounter that adds flavor to the module.

The reason I vote yes is simply because there are a lot of very cool, very playable old modules out there that deserve to gain a new audience.

I say yes. But like Baraendur above, I would like to see encounters reworked so that they are playable in 3E. If you took Steeding of the Hill giant Chief and just swapped out monsters, you would need an Epic level party to handle it IMHO.

Which ones would I particuarly like to see done:
  • Expedidition to the barrier Peaks
  • The GDQ series
  • The Slavers Series
  • White Plume Mountain
  • A handful of the old dragon magazine adventures from the 1980s
