Wounded Horses... How much damage before..

Nope. At 0 hp, you act exactly as you do at 100 hp - with the above exceptions (1 action per turn, anything other than moving does 1 point of damage).

Minor quibble - Move actions also do not cause the pt of damage.

EDIT:

*Thanks, Shilsen. By, "moving," I meant "anything that's a move action that isn't strenuous as defined in the disabled condition," but I should have been more specific. :)

is bearing a load considered strenuous? med or heavy load, not light.
edit: i know there are penalties to dex and such as listed under encumbrance.

I wouldn't say so. While a medium or heavy load will give penalties to Dex and speed, a character can carry a medium or heavy load for hours on end, travel cross-country, fight without any penalties to hit, etc., so by the game's usage of the term, I wouldn't call it strenuous.

but what about the rules for exhaustion. the endurance feat.. etc...

i think it does have some effect. i'm just not very good with the rules. ;)

No, and neither is wearing heavy armor. It seems like this would come up often enough that it would merit mention in the disabled condition (practically every front-line fighter would encounter this).

However ...

Taking move actions doesn’t risk further injury, but performing any standard action (or any other action the DM deems strenuous, including some free actions such as casting a quickened spell) deals 1 point of damage after the completion of the act.

So, if you really felt that bearing a load was strenuous, the rules will support you in your decision. :)

I'd likely rule that, for anyone encumbered so much that they are limited to 5' steps as full-round action, moving is a strenuous exercise. Of course, given that, they'd need two rounds to move, and the "Begin Full-Round Action" standard action would knock them out in the first round, anyway. ;)

yeah, i'm sure it didn't state it explicitly. i was just trying to wrap my head around what is considered strenuous.

heavy armor has penalties too for certain class feats. like the twf ranger or the barbarian. these are also explained or affected by heavy loads too.

16 replies, and STILL noone has asked the OBVIOUS question, "is it a European or African horse?"

WHY DO I STILL HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING AROUND HERE??/
