Wow-Original Star Trek is pretty cool.

Much of the brilliance of TOS is related to the Holy Trinity of fictional characters-Kirk, Spock, and Bones. Their interaction and friendship really made the show.

Let's get out the tar and feathers :P

TOS might some corny special effects but it set the stage for everything else and there is one captain and Kirk is his name :)

And remember Braga and Berman can't write a series to save their life :)

Happy thanksgiving all.

Well, Braga can. He just sucks at being a producer (and leading a writing staff).

Berman just knows his connection in Hollywood. Not necessarily a bad thing, but in his case, it is. That's why he is still employed at Paramount. (Stoopid exec suits!)

I just know that even when the series was being its most blatant and obvious, like the Checkerboard black and white people racisim episode, I never felt like my inteligence was being insulted, like it did so many times in the newer series.

True, true.

What about the one where Captain Kirk realized that the aliens on this planet had, somehow, recreated the history of an dystopic, post-nuclear war, american-like society, down to having a "sacred document" that was WORD FOR WORD the Declaration of Independence (which Kirk was able to QUOTE, without seeing the "sacred document").

Because that one really hurt my suspension of disbelief. :)
