Wreck ashore (El Jefe judging) (Finished)

"I still can't see exactly where they are... and it is likely that they will fire first, if they are brigands." Wilhelm muses for a moment.

"Hmm... very well, then. I will approach their position (or at least, the direction you mentioned) and ask to talk. The rest of you should distance yourselves from me so as to attack from a different direction if danger should rear its ugly head. The stealthiest amongst us should attempt to creep up behind them if he or she can." Wilhelm spares Eroin a look when he says this.

"It goes without saying that we should capture at least one of them alive if it comes to it."

If his comrades agree to the plan, he'll leave his spear behind but keep his crossbow and morning star. He will wield neither until attacked. The plan is as above, with Wilhelm walking toward the direction Roddick pointed out and calling out for help.

Hulgyr peers into the distance to try and see the men.
"Your tactic sounds good, but we won't be far away in case they decide to attack. I will watch your back.[color]"

Hulgyr will follow Wilhelm at 60 feet on his left flank, with a javelin at hand and his greatsword in the other.

ooc: If I go it well, Wilhem will approach and try to speak with them, while Eroin tries to circle them to gain their flank or rear. Meanwhile hulgyr remain alert, 60 feet behind Wilhem. I´ll assume Roddick will be in the same position as Hulgyr´s. I´ll wait for confirmation, and post soon.

ooc: No word from Timothy or Zweihänder, so we´ll go with Nimisgod´s plan.

Leaving his spear behind, Wilhem moves ahead as Eroin separates from the group and moves into the bushes. A couple minutes after, Wilhem is near enough the two men to speak clearly with them, when one of the men turns suddenly and put his hand on his companion´s shoulder.

Wilhem: [sblock]You can see them clearly now: they wear loose, unkempt clothes –no armor, though-, and are very tanned. Broad scimitars hang from their hips. The cleric frowns when he sees their faces, they are not the kind of people he trusts. In the following silence, they whisper something, while unslinging slowly their crossbows. Suddendly one of the turns his head to his left, and shouts: “There is something in the bushes!” They both put a bolt in the crossbows.[/sblock]

Eroin: [sblock]You advance as carefully as you can, though you aren´t used to this kind of terrain. They seem not to have seen or heard you, until one of them turn his head to your position and shouts “There´s something in the bushes!”[/sblock]

Roddick and Hulgyr: [sblock]You remain behind Wilhem, and because of the vegetation in the way you still can´t see the two men clearly. Eroin has left, and Wilhem is ready to speak, when one of them shouts “There´s something in the bushes!” and they ready their crossbows to shoot.[/sblock]

[ooc: Wilhem and Eroin are 40 feet away from the two men, but Eroin has light undergrowth in the way. Roddick and Hulgyr are 100 feet from them.]

Wilhelm calls out amicably to the two men. "Greetings, strangers! Might you have some time to grant this lost soul some aid?"

The Cleric is dressed in his scale armor and his buckler but he has no weapon in hand. He does have a morningstar at his hip and a crossbow slung across his back.

He looks at them with a confident smile on his face but wariness in his eyes. He tries to sense their motives, whether they are going to attack or their general personalities.

Diplomacy +4 (Taking 10 if I can)
Sense Motive +2
Spot +2

As soon as she hears the man speak, Eroin freezes. She will wait to see how the dialogue turns out before making her move, but is trying her best to look like vegetation right now.

ooc1: Where is she when the man shouts, relative to the pair?

ooc2: She actually IS used to this terrain, since she was raised a druid (the whole plant-growing thing didn't take, nor did the magic, though).

Hulgyr crouches and concentrates on the two strangers. If any of them makes an attack or similar offensive action he will leap up and run towards them as fast as he can.

ooc: ready a run action, triggered to any form of attack (spell, attack etc) towards on of his allies. He drops his javelin as part of the run action and readies his greatsword (which he alreasy had in his off-hand).

Roddick sees Hulgyr readying his muscles and decides that is the way to go. He'll get out his Glaive and run to the man standing farthest away from Hulgyr. Roddick will take care to avoid AoO's but will try to threaten both men with his Glaive.

If they attack, we'll get them, Hulgyr!
