D&D 5E Xanatar's Guide to Everything: Divine Soul Sorcerer

Or a Divine Soul of a Good deity seduced into doing great evil by a Succubus (corrupting the Divine Soul of a good deity would be as big or bigger then corrupting a Lawful Good Paladin).

"Okay, so I'm fine with this character you've rolled up for my campaign, but why is his name Annakin?"

The most interesting part of Mearls' talk about this subclass is when he says that they have somewhat "split" it into a few different options (subsubclasses? :D) for good, evil, law and chaos divine souls.

This is awesome, because it multiplies options even further... I am not sure if we have seen any of these flexible subclasses in UA articles, but of course we have several examples in the PHB, from the Totem Barbarian to the Circle of Land Druid, Four Elements Monk and Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer.

It is probably way too optimistic, but it even gives me some hope that all the UA elemental-themed Sorcerer subclasses might have been rolled into one, which would mean we would get the Phoenix, Sea and Stone Sorcerer for the price of one subclass 'slot'. :)

I am curious what the bonus spells for law and chaos will be. I am assuming inflict wounds will be the spell for evil. Maybe command for law....I am stumped for chaos.

Is anyone else curious as to how many features will be changed/effected by the new Divine Soul Subsubclasses? (Good, Evil, Law, Chaos & possible neutral).

Obviously the 6th level feature Empowered Healing will be changed, it was designed with the idea of Favoured Souls being strong healers, but into what I don't know. It was a weak feature anyways.

Chosen of the Gods might have changed too.

I think the wings will be still in, but the fluff will change, like if you chose lawful maybe you get modron like construct wings for example.

I'm hoping Unearthly recovery gets changed, it was a dull but useful feature.

I will also note that it sounds like in a way the Divine Soul inherits the Clerics alignment domains from 3e.

I wonder if the choice is just a single part of an Alignment like Chaos, Law, Evil, Good, Neutral, or if it'll be Lawful Good, Lawful Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral, Chaotic Good, Chaotic Neutral, Chaotic Evil.
