(YB) Dark Eternal defeats The Viper! (Thanks to The Luminary for judging!)

Dropping the nunchaku and closing the distance, the Viper attempts to slash Ahlydhian across the face with poisoned fingernails.

The claw swims atop the tower; conceals the aggression of the grave!

 

[Dark Eternal]

Dodging wildly, Ahlydhian rolls to the side - and then steps back in towards Viper, sliding one arm up to keep her attack wide while he slips a leg between hers, in an attempt to pull her off balance and into a grapple.

A nearly silent song of speed and grace enhances his attack, rejuvinating muscles that have been punished more harshly than they are accustomed to. A soft sigh of pleasure slips from his lips as the magic tingles through his veins.

The flawless blizzard sings across the village; quells the roar of the garden!

A flawless bizzard does sing though it is a most hideous song.

Pulling the Viper into his grasp, Ahlydhian wraps an arm around her throat, and attempts to hold on, applying crushing pressure. He whispers into her ear, "A valiant battle. You are most certainly a worthy opponent. A pity that you are so much like my wife; she, too, never knew when to quit."

The lotus blossom wounds the paradise; drops next to the descent of the farm! *yen*

Wu Xu-tou pulls at Ahlydian's arm, giving her enough air to hiss, "I really don't want to hear about your wife." Then, twisting around to grab the back of Ahlydhian's shirt with one hand while gripping his arm with the other, she tries to flip him over and past her, freeing her of the choke hold while leaving him stunned and vulnerable.

The fox attacks the desert; protects against the quickening of the holy ground! *yen*

The Viper takes a moment to compose herself. After sucking most of the poison from the iron serpent's bite, she goes through her collection of antitoxins and chews on a piece of bark. Within moments, the effects of the poison fade.

"You're good," she says. "But one day I'll catch you without your tricks. Then we'll see just who's the better." Smirking, she darts into the shadows of the warehouse and vanishes from sight.

With a moment to clear his mind of all that has transpired, the Dark Eternal picks up his battered guitar, and takes a moment to tune it by ear. Then, with a simple tune, he restores himself to full health and vigor.

"Though I am uncertain I will be able to abide by its strictures, I wish to choose the path of Honor. Perhaps, in time, I can begin to free myself of the darkness that seeks to consume me from within."

He bows to the Judge. "Thank you for your Judgements, wise one. Peace be with you."

So speaking, he straps his guitar over his shoulder, strides into the night, and is quickly lost in the rain.
