Year's Best d20 Cosmosopher

Hi,

I have a couple of questions about this prestige class:

In the Requirements for this PrC, the "Special" section lists "ability to cast unprepared arcane spells of at least 3rd-level" yet Monte's sidebar talks about the PrC being suitable for a wizard. Don't wizards cast prepared spells rather than unprepared spells?

Secondly, the Filch Spell ability description reads "should the cosmosopher fail this check, he may not attempt to filch the spell until the next instance of this class ability." Reading the table on p10, the class ability Filch Spell only appears once, although epic cosmosophers get it at every two levels beyond 9th.

Am I missing something?

Wizards can spontaneously cast a spell through the signature spell feat in the FRCS which allows them to choose one spell they have chosen for spell mastery and spontaneously swap out other spells for it.
