All kidding aside. I never actually drifted away from the "turns" system... I just stopped referring to them as turns, and saying things like "Time passes" or "you're getting tired" to mark the passage of time.

My Amstrad 6128 CPC 8 bit only took 1 second. Hang on doesn't that mean it's rubbish.Lol.

My Vista Prem only takes a couple of seconds if I just put it to sleep.

The old Turn was 10mins, I much prefer the 5min.

5 minutes, takes mine closer to 15. of course I reboot once every few months or so....

linux perhaps?

It takes me about twice as long to boot into linux than Windows XP. Then again, even then it only takes like 3 minutes to boot into linux while it takes like a minute to boot into windows... ok i guess that's three times as long.
