Yet another "How old are you?" thread

What decade were you born?

Most folks still avidly using forums tend to be Gen X across all the ones i participate in, with a distribution that curves into older and down middle millennial. The younger you get, the more likely Reddit / Discord / etc is to be primary and they fall into the small tail of the forum use curve.

I divide the world between those born before the release of Return of the Jedi and those born after.
That would be 83, right? Funny thing is, half my friends are born in 77-81, half are 86-89. But, we all had pretty similar childhood and grew up in similar way. Latchkey kids, riding bikes or on local school playground playing football till street lights came on, playing pirated games on bootlegged consoles, watching pirated programs on satellite (those who could afford it), walkmans, waiting on radio for song to play and press record and pray that host won't start talking near the end of the song.

We got it later, in mid 90s. In my grandparents building, they had one antenna on the roof of the building and then signal from that one was routed trough regular tv cables in the building. Call it "building wide cable tv", just free. Before that, people had big fishbone antennas, and depending on where you live, with it, you could watch italian, austrian or hungarian regular programs.

Point is, while my older friends were in their early teens, an i was in my preschool years, we got access to foreign cool channels like CN or MTV in about same time, we watched same shows.
