I just went through about three pages of that Ptolus thread, and I made a few posts in response to other people's posts. Now, that resulted in me having about four or five posts in a row, which looks a bit uncouth. I could have used the edit button to manually paste the different replies together, but I get a lot of use out of the "Quote" button, which makes it more difficult, especially if I'm responding to more than one person.

A button that would auto-merge several adjacent posts by the same author would go a long way toward reducing post-count and this kind of inadvertant spamming of threads. It would also make me personally happy.

This could possible be a nightmare in the PbP forums... I dislike it already but if it can only be run in some forums and not others I do have an issue.

There exists a hack to do exactly that which I've considered that does exactly this - but it won't be added for awhile. Too many other upgrades due.
