On Enworld people continuously talk about (aside from 4 edition for some reason I can't figure out) the fact that if no one teaches the younger generation to play, they won't. I figured I would make a poll (if I can figure out how) as to how many younger players people know.

For the purposes of this poll, young players is 25 and younger. Everyone else is considered so old as to be inconsequential to helping D&D stay alive.

P.S. This is my first thread, and not really sure how to make a poll so if it looks bad please lie and tell me I did a great job, thanks :) .

All of them.

I'm 19. All of my gamers range from 18 to 21 or so. Most of the people I've met through gaming but no longer play with are in the same range.

Demiurge out.

I've got 3 (sometimes 4-5, but not regularly) younger players in my group, and I know a few others that don't play in my group. I voted 6-10, and know of quite a few more. Of course, there are 3 game shops and several other comic and book stores that sell RPGs in my city of less than 100k people so this "RPG slump" that others talk about is like a mythical rumor to me.

It's strange - everyone in my game group is 33 or older or under 25... what happens to gamers between those years? Was there really an eight year gap where *nobody* learned to play RPGs?

Most of the ones I know are under 25. And a number of us have experience with 30+ players, and I have experience with 40+ players. I like playing with older gamers because I do learn tricks from them.

I know only younger gamers. I'm two weeks from my 21st birthday myself and all people I played with so far where around my age. Most where introduced by my group (though rarely by me personally). Over time I've played D&D with about 12 different people.
