Younger D20 Players

My group has brought in several new players, though not all under 25.
We've had varying ranges of success. Some of them only last one night, some stick with us for years.

We have one player under 25. She's in college and is the daughter of one of our players.

It's not easy for us to get new and young players as we're all over 30, married (some with kids), have college degrees, and tend to talk a lot of politics. That already puts a lot of people off if they don't have any common experience.

Of course, I work in a gaming store, so I see more gamers then most . . .

Everyone in my group is 22 or younger.
Me and 1 other guy are, 2 other guys are 19 and our last member is 22.

I know a lot of gamer outside of our group who are less than 25 as well, about 10.

Virtually my entire gaming group, and every group I've ever been a member of.

At 27, I'm the oldest member of my group, and Clueless (who is younger) brought me into DnD around 2000. The group ranges 18-27, mostly in the 22/23 range. The other groups that I've played in were all in the 18-25 range with the exception of one 40 year old player in one group.

Now... am I old enough to hold scorn and fear for how my younger sister's generation will 'destroy DnD' like older generations expected mine to do?

Probably about half the gamers I know are 25 or under. Then again some of us are getting on a bit. I'm 38 and another gamer I know recently had his 50th birthday.

The younger and older members of the club tend to play their own games but there is some crossover.

This is true. And unless ENWorld's demographics have changed dramatically in the last year or two, I recall another poll that determined the median age around here was about 30.

I know about 8 I think.. myself included. *is 23* AND I'm a girl.. I only know one other of those... >.>

Although most of my current group fits in this younger catagory, we range in age from 18 to 46.

I've introduced C&C to 2 young players (ages 6 and 20-something). It's not d20, but it is OGL.

My peer group is all in their late 20s/early 30s.
