Your Favorite Halfling?

Which is Your Favorite Halfling?

Despite the ingrained assumption that old-style hobbits are lazy, reluctant adventurers, there's absolutely nothing in their Tolkien roots which implies that.
I never said hobbits were lazy, but if they're like most suburbanites, they are reluctant to go adventuring.

Strange that 3e hobbits were missed out of the mix - whyzat?
How different are they from 4E? One Stat?

What makes Pathfinder's Halflings different?

Where's the "Dead Halflings" option???

I like the Dark Sun cannibals and the abused halflings from Scarred Lands.

I chose both the 1e fat halfling (which to me is still a hobbit) and the Darksun cannibal. The former is, imo, what the default DND halfling is (despite what the authors of 3e and 4e push) . The latter is just my favorite for being different and part of Darksun, but not what I think the default DND halfling should be.

The cover of A1 Slave Pits Module is how I always pictured my halflings (and dwarven women as a side note)
