I´ve a strong feeling that a certain kobold from The Sunless Citadel will be named here :)

Not sure if it was my favorite but a new player was trying out her skills as a DM, and ran us through SC - after doing a trail with her husband and brother first, and had made changes .The kobold in question was now a manic depressive bard. Even more irritating he was nocturnal. Being a low level group we would fight 2 rooms maybe then sack out for the net 20 hrs to regain hp and spells. about evening Meepo would wake up and begin to talk, managing to wake the whole party. Or if we had been treating him badly would cry, then mope and bravely try to keep quiet.

when me or the other halfling would run out of HP or spells, we would act as back-up singer/ dancers for his bard song while 20 str 1/2 orc barb would kill stuff.

We loved him, We hated him. we tied him up and gagged him.

Mace the Grey, a big craggy-faced, drunken, brawling, womanizing priest (cleric) of Olidammara. Think Friar Tuck as interpreted by Frank Miller.

Originally, Diarmuid "Mace" MacGhee was a character from my homebrew campaign back in the early 90s when the only book I had was the Rules Cyclopedia. He was a fallen priest and assassin who eventually sought and found redemption. He's since had a cameo appearance in all my extended campaigns.
