seriously: craft. every character I make has one or two or more craft skills that I make use out of.

Really? Do you get actual game utility out of them (as in, you make cool stuff) or do you just take satisfaction from throwing some skill points in a non-combat skill that gives your PC some flavor?

Hmm...probably Bluff.

Asides from the practical use of lieing straight through one's teeth, Feinting in combat is very, very nice and fits many of the character's I end up playing.

I get game utility out of it. My dwarf has Craft stonecarving. So, he carves stone ornements to give to people we help out and save. It has been a big hit with the NPCs as he is quite talents and getting famous for his adventureing.

While it hasn't happened yet, I plan to eventrually craft my own weapons and armor of high quality. It is fine to have some built by others, but a real dwarf needas to eventually make his own.

Ditto. Nothing better than bewildering NPCs. Plus it has combat value. Win-win!

Craft (beer).

My characters tend to be quite different from one another rather than playing either variations on a theme or the same thing over and over again. Thus my "favorite skill" depends entirely on the character.

Mine usually end up being fairly different from one another, too, but I play so little that I try to always play a concept I love. Somehow, even if I don't mean it to, Bluff usually works very well for the character type.
