'Disrobe!' is pretty darn effective, mostly against tanks in heavy armor. They get far enough that they suffer penalties for not having their armor on properly in one round. 'Sleep!' is nice as well, particuarly if you've got an ally who's delaying and in position to do a coup de grace.

Is this realistic? It takes five minutes to remove heavy armor. How would one round out of 50 make that big a difference?

I typically prefer flee although there are choice words used on a case by case basis.

Die!

I use this for several reasons.

1. back in 2e, it was the example in the spell descrition, so that way I had no disscussion with people about what their character would do. (fall over, go ridged, not move, ect.)

2. Easy word for less intelligent races to learn in multiple languages to be most effective.

3. Less thought on my part. :D

So... DIE ;)

The players were all chained to the floor in a prison cell. They needed to draw the jailor into the room so they could get the keys. The cleric cast "command", spread his arms open and said:

"Hug."
