Your favourite botches

I was running a Werewolf the Apocalypse game and one of the PCs decided to turn into crinos form while in a tree. They were up there spying on someone. I asked for an athletics test and they botched. The tree snapped under their weight and came crashing down making a lot of noise ruining their stealthy approach.
The PC says,"But my character has catfoot and shouldn't make any noise!"
I said,"The tree doesn't have catfoot."

Back in the 90's I was running a Darksun game. The PCs angered a large group of elves whom then surrounded them and were proceeding to attack from different angles.

One PC was a 1/2 Giant whom had scored a rusty iron sword. In Darksun it was worth a lot of money. Swingin' he lost grip of it (nat 1) but the sword still killed several elves as it went into the crowd. The crowd filled in the gap again. Unseen to the PCs, four elves teamed up to then steal (drag) the sword away.
