This was a tough one. I voted Norse. But I also have a great deal of connection to the Celtic and Egyptian pantheons. My Goddess is a fusion of Celtic and Norse elements. And I worship Ptah outright.

I think the Celts and the Norse have the best stories though.:D

How exactly do you pronounce "Cuchulainn" ?

As much as I am fascinated by all mythologies, I have to vote that the Celtic mythos is, for me, the most fascinating. Partially because of my descent, but also because Celtic history and culture is a favored subject of mine.

CuChulhainn is pronounced:

'Coo-who-lin'

Sumerian here.

A lively bunch with tons of good stories.

BTW, the Sumerian and Babylonian cultures were millennia apart. The Babylonians appropriated a number of the Sumerian gods, but had a culture substantially different from the earlier people.

Personally my ancestry is primarily Celtic, but the neo-pagans have sorta ruined the mythology for me.

Thanks, U_K. I must admit, though, the header was meant to be quasi-facetious. One of gaelic's quaint charms is the fact that it's nigh impossible to pronounce some words at a glance unless you know the phonetics involved.

Yeah. Celt is best because it speaks gaelic.

And gaelic can only be the most beautiful language, because my first name is Gaël.

:D

And I don't even speak gaelic :( ...

;) :p

True. Unless you have heard it in the 'mother tongue' its very difficult to know if your pronounciation is correct.

In Gaelic my name (Craig Cochrane) means 'Crimson Mountain' - which I quite like...

...though I am neither crimson or mountainous by nature. ;)

I can speak a few words (very few); but spelling them is another matter! ;)
