Two groups. One that I DM, and another I play in. Four of us are involved in both.
So let's see. We range in age from 26 to 50. Across the two groups we have seven people. Of those 5 are librarians, one is a professor and another is an actor.
I could feel so comfortable in that group
Me - 32 Male, Single, Current DM dispite a prefference for playing. Work nights at a group home. Have a BA in English and Drama, and 5 years work experience in a college library

Spend my day playing games.
A - 32 Male, married, Ex-navy currently does electrical field work for a security company. Currently playing an Arcane Trickster. None of his characters are really dumb / unwise - likes a logical and leadershipy roll.
L - 27 Male, Single, Student and works at a convenience store while in school. Currently playing a halfling sorcerer, though does occasionally like the "Hit things with a big axe" type.
O - late 50's Male, Married, Vet, Ex-store owner, semi retired, drives truck 3-4 days a week. A bit quiet and a group player, though his choices and Ideas are top notch (depending on the time it takes to impliment them. Currently playing a Rogue, and seems to enjoy it.
J - Mid 30's Male, Married to E, Computer IT guy (currently between projects). Seems to gravitate to the "Hit things very hard with big weapon" character. Currently a Dragon Disciple.
E - Mid 30's Female, Married to J, Domestic Goddess, Part time work in a Job that I understand but can't well discribe without an inordinate ammount of text. Currently a Fighter. Likes the simple concept and to hit things with the sword to get out frustrations from day to day life, and 3 daughters

Too bad fighteres are not that simple anymore. Has done other characters as well, but not in games I have run.
I like my group. But why play with people that you don't like?
