Your gaming group

My group's ages are between 19 and 23.

None of us have jobs as of yet since we're all in school.

There are 6 players

I can't remember everybody's majors but they range from English to Army ROTC.

We try to play weekly.

I run a game that's an amalgamation of Ravenloft, Moorcock, and Diablo.

And I'm having a great time.

This group has been playing together (with a few personnel changes) for about 2 years now.

I started out with just one player (the Network Admin) who I knew from our high school gaming club. We added one player at a time by inviting people who'd posted messages either online or at local gaming stores. We've only had one freak show turn up and he quickly realized that we weren't his type of group.

Our group has been together for seven years now.

Janne N: 21 years, student (commerce), DM in our D&D
Mika, 21 years, student nurse, Wizard/Cleric of Mystra (just changing charachter)
Janne T, 21 years, student (engineering), Wood Elf Ranger/Rogue
Sampo, 21 (in November), student (teacher), Shield Dwarf Fighter
ans myself, 21, law student, Wood Elf Druid/Ranger/Elder Druid

An occasionally vistor: Ilari, 19, just graduated, playing Gnome Illusionist/Rogue (is Janne N.'s little brother)

We we all (except Ilari) classmates in school from 7th grade forward, and started gaming at summer between 7th and 8th grade. Now we live in differents cities so we game only once in a month.

Tom: 24, single, works and attends community college. plays elf fighter/wizard (soon to be arcane archer)

Ian: 24, attends local college for accounting. will be graduating in november (taking a 2 month break until then). plays human fighter

In my Warhammer campaign (see link in .sig for the Story Hour):
We're all 17 (except for Joonatan who is 14.), students in the same high school.
Iiro: Kase, the elven cleric. A borderline otaku with an often perverted sense of humor. Has a lot of anime. Recently kicked for missing too many games.
Samuli: Franz, the human cleric. A fascistic, manipulative bastard, who still thinks that Lawful Good characters should be able to torture prisoners without violating alignment. Has an encyclopedic knowledge of World War II, for all the good it will do to him. Was recently kicked.
Hannu: Fisibbei, the halfling druid. A maths genius, who unfortunately still tends to view his character more as a set of stats and less as a personality.
Mikko: Khaelas, the elven sorcerer. A strange fellow, who has a tendency to miss games without notifying us beforehand. Will probably get kicked soon.
Joonatan: Ranland, the elven rogue. An annoying little pest. Knows the rules, though, and likes to play.

Five people. Two of us are twenty-five, two at twenty eight or so and one a few years beyond that. I've never been sure of the exact ages of anyone but myself and a friend from high school.

We include 2 IT professionals, 2 people who perform incomprehinsible jobs in what I think is the public service, and me who works as a university tutor and freelance writer while writing my PhD. We recently lost another player, again about twenty eight and an IT professional.

Our games are an erratic mix of hack and slash with lighthearted roleplaying and heavy political/plot influences. I try to keep things pretty fluid, and everyone seems pretty happy with the mix.

Two groups. One that I DM, and another I play in. Four of us are involved in both.

So let's see. We range in age from 26 to 50. Across the two groups we have seven people. Of those 5 are librarians, one is a professor and another is an actor.

I could feel so comfortable in that group :)

Me - 32 Male, Single, Current DM dispite a prefference for playing. Work nights at a group home. Have a BA in English and Drama, and 5 years work experience in a college library ;) Spend my day playing games.

A - 32 Male, married, Ex-navy currently does electrical field work for a security company. Currently playing an Arcane Trickster. None of his characters are really dumb / unwise - likes a logical and leadershipy roll.

L - 27 Male, Single, Student and works at a convenience store while in school. Currently playing a halfling sorcerer, though does occasionally like the "Hit things with a big axe" type.

O - late 50's Male, Married, Vet, Ex-store owner, semi retired, drives truck 3-4 days a week. A bit quiet and a group player, though his choices and Ideas are top notch (depending on the time it takes to impliment them. Currently playing a Rogue, and seems to enjoy it.

J - Mid 30's Male, Married to E, Computer IT guy (currently between projects). Seems to gravitate to the "Hit things very hard with big weapon" character. Currently a Dragon Disciple.

E - Mid 30's Female, Married to J, Domestic Goddess, Part time work in a Job that I understand but can't well discribe without an inordinate ammount of text. Currently a Fighter. Likes the simple concept and to hit things with the sword to get out frustrations from day to day life, and 3 daughters ;) Too bad fighteres are not that simple anymore. Has done other characters as well, but not in games I have run.

I like my group. But why play with people that you don't like?

Me - 23 - male starting actor
Albert - mid 20's - student
Lucy - 22 - student
Andy - 22 - shop worker
Ben - mid 20's - don't know
Simpson - mid 20's - office worker

...and a few others that pop in and out.

Five Males, ages 21-23

One an English Literature student (me - that's why I am in the UK right now, not gaming with my friends :( ).
One a nearly graduated Business Information Systems student.
One doing exactly the same thing, but he just started (so he's 4 years behind the other one).
One is at this point going to a Hairstylist's Academy.
One nearly graduated Architect.
