"Bones" is based on a book series written by an actual forensic scientist who, among other things, consults/consulted with police in Quebec. I would hope that they would get at least the science right.
Your hopes will not be met. They pretended to care about the science early on, and got consistently sloppier as time went on.
The one that really bothered me was when (spoilers?) Bones and Booth brought their newborn kid home and everyone important from the show was there. At one point Bones made some psuedo-smarypants statement about how being exposed to a variety of germs would help strengthen the kid's immune system. Which is generally not a bad philosophy, but is 100% terrible advice for new parents. Babies don't have a complete immune system until they're a few months old. Exposing newborns to unnecessary germs could be deadly.
