Recent Purchases (last 30 days or so...)

FRCS — Just came in about a week and 1/2 ago, still digesting. I like it very much, have a few quibbles with it (Jezz the Lame (sp?) has a dexterity of 20, IIRC, and some other more significant ones), but the detailing is really tremendous. Haven't decided if I'd run an FR game or if I'd just raid the book for some of the ideas/adventure hooks/feats/etc....

MotP — Didn't like it so much the first day or two that I had it. Managed to read it cover to cover, mostly on Day 3, and I really liked all of it the more I thought about it. Makes me tempted to start using all the Planescape ESDs I have (PS Campaign Setting, Guide to Sigil, Factol's Manifesto).

BOEM 1, 2 — I like the new spells a lot. Not so wild about spellsongs, and kind of blah on the other type of new spells (still digesting if you couldn't guess). The prestige classes and items looked neat so far, and some of the feats are pretty cool.

Demon God's Fane — I doubt I'll ever get to run it, but I wanted to see some of the execution of the stuff in the two BOEM. Enjoyable read so far (through the first section and the introductory material. I think for the most part, though, I'll be staying away from published adventures. Dungeon probably is a more cost efficient solution...

Most recent purchases:

Mongoose double header of Constructs and Seas of Blood. Pretty happy with both and worked them both into my games within a week.

Just bought Touched by the Gods on the $12 special. Should be here in a week. Heard good things about it, and for $12, why not?

Many, many, many minis over the last month. My wife banned me from the store, in fact :)

Some new paints and finishes as well, but that's it.

[*]Afrika Corpse. Weird Wars sourcebook for the war in North Africa. Lots of detail. A good purchase.

My FLGS doesn't stock Weird Wars stuff, and I've been debating ordering this. Could you tell me what the prestige classes in the book are? And maybe some more detail on the weird feats?

I've found that I'm a much better DM when I don't need to roll dice to resolve actions.

"I open the door."
"You see a tentacled horror. You go insane and it eats you.
"I open fire with my Desert Eagle"
It eats your bullets, then your gun, and then you, you're dead."
"I run away."
No, you go insane, fall to the ground, and then get eaten. Here are some d6s."

Just got my Dragon and Dungeon mag fixes those, along with 2 issues of KoDT and Nodwick, pretty much used up my gaming budget for the month but I managed to squeeze in 2 Mage Knight metal figures that I got for half off (the Troll Brawler and Bladed Golem - great minis!). But payday is Friday and I'm picking up Hackmaster Player's Guide and (maybe) the GM Guide. Not D&D or d20 but still close enough to qualify ;)

yeah, I looked thru Deities & Demigods, and the only thing I liked was some of the temple maps. nothing else really seemed really "Usefull" to my game.
Ive heard all kinds of great things about Manual of the Planes, which I own, but I have not been able to get into it enough to read very much of it. Ive sat down with it a number of times, but couldnt focus on it.

Hey, hows the Kalamar Players Guide??? I'm gonna look for it tomorrow.

Decided to go nuts since I worked 240 hours last month, and got a fat paycheck- so far I've picked up Manual of the Planes, Lost city of Gaxmoor, Secrets and Societies, Warrens of the Ratmen, Burok Torn, Armies of the Abyss, Champions of the Scarred Lands, a whole stack of Nodwick, Dungeon and KoDT back issues- phew! Should keep me happy for a while- Oh, and CoC D20, amost forgot that one! :D
