the raven queen is alot more then death, its fate and winter...

you can be unaligned or even good.

you are just a divine servent who has no fear of death.

something happened in his background, something such as loseing familymembers to a fevor plage that nearly claimed his life.

a person who answered the calling to be a headman to use man and divine laws to punsh and exicute evil.

knowing and trusting that your fate is wholely controlled and your death is determend at some point into the future, creates one unstoppable zelot. even though chaotic evil characters have disregard for others lives, a true claric of death will still put the fear of the raven queen into them.

your targets - defylers of the dead, necromancers, undead, immortals. and as such you must show no fear of death or dieing, your targets dont.

Everyone's got a god-on for the Raven Queen....

I went with Erathis, though Moradin is also in the running.

Though TBH, I'm more likely to pick some obscure third party god, or try to play a LG cleric of Tharizdun, or something weird like that. But I like making odd character concepts work.

(gnome assassin...dwarf bard...githyanki mage...yeaaaaahhh)

Your eternal reward for serving the Raven Queen loyally and well is spending eternity by her side.

Your eternal punishment for serving the Raven Queen loyally and well is spending eternity by her side.

Let's get one of her servants here to put a stake in two year old threads.

I like Avandra for her go with the flow, roguish bend. Your character can be very pious without coming off like those stick in the mud Bahamites. ;)

Gajoides extends both arms at the ground palms down with fingers parted. "Gasjunt Quomvas Kaelfuca Iemfasde" Gajoides lower arms glow as light hot coals as dozens of flaming six inch spikes shoot forth from his palms. Small red flashes appear in side the field as more magic spikes fly forth. Gajoides closes his eyes while gritting his teeth trying to increase the power of the spell. As sweat appears on his brow and along his neck the flaming needles leaving his ands increase in size now measuring close to twelve inches long and two inches round. The random flashes have grown in size and brighter.

Of the gods listed: Erathis - I see potential in her as representative of humanity's tendency towards building cities, formulating extensive laws, and of course enslaving savages ("for their own good")

Including the so-called "evil" gods: Bane - ever since that Channel Divinity article a while back, I've been trying to tempt the player of a paladin of Kord to consider worshipping Bane (instead or together)

(It helps that IMC, Erathis & Bane are the primary gods worshipped by an empire and are considered allies - along with cults of Asmodeus, Moradin, and some who insist on worshipping the lesser Kord :-) )

For non-clerics, I have considered playing a Mage multi-class assassin who follows some teachings of Zehir.
