So how would you rate TTT?

As is, I would give it a rating of "8.9" which rounds to "9."

I have given my reasons for this - and "what I would have done instead" in other threads. Gollum gets a "10."

The movie was very well done but I was disappointed with Faramir's portrayal and thought that certain scenes could have been cut to make up for Merry and Pippin getting short shrift (no pun intended).

It's a VERY good movie, but I think it could have been just a little bit better.

FWIW, the original FotR is a 9.8 with the extended edition getting a 10.

I wasn't thrilled with the Arwyn stuff, and I wanted more of Merry and Pippin with the Ents. Other than that..It was great..

I gave it an 8.

I have yet to see a movie I would rate as a 10.

I would give "Fellowship" a 9.

8 from me. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly, but wouldn't rate it as highly as FOTR, which I'd put as a 9 in the theatrical version and 10 in the extended form.

An average of 8.6.... not bad at all.

I'm guessing 10 being the most favorable rating. Since there is no such thing as a perfect score, I'd give it a 9.5.

 

[Hand of Evil]

I gave it an 8. I felt it captured the feel and nature of the story (not the book) very well. Did have a few issues but they did not interfer with the enjoyment of the movie.

Gollum was impressive.
Ents at war was NOT impressive, it was good but...
Sheild skateboarding, fun in D&D but was for the kids.

I will see it again this weekend.

Note: It is really going to be interesting to see all three movies back-to-back non-stop. I hope someone does them on the big screen 9 hours.
