You're a Very Old Blue Dragon: What spells are YOU going to have up in a scrap?

I was considering slow, but what I was focusing on were a combo of damaging spells, a few enchantments as well as useful divination spells that could help in a pinch. Oh and definately a few heal spells. The Necromancy spells were just a way of getting some wider play. I'd also recommend if you don't want my selection of spells for 4th level, the Greater Mark spells, to give greater damaging ability and also enhancements.

Here's the Party:

Kyan, a fairly tough Priest of the Twin Gods of War and Mercy (War/Healing domains), level 11.

Raven, a 1st level Bard/9th level Barbarian. Powerful when she wants to be, but tends to make tactical errors.

Adamante, a rogue/fighter/Vezanti Deathspiral Swordmaster (the prestige class can be found on my website - see my sig). He's a terror against humanoid lifeforms and large numbers of foes, but against big buff critters, not so hot.

Keska Mekis, a 10th level Psychic Warrior. New player. As yet untested. From his power selection I get the feeling he Doesn't Get It.

The party's mage left the game so he could play NWN on Saturday nights. This... could be bad.

Thanks for all the input thus far!

Now, our boy Valmuuresh isn't slated to face the party any time soon, but the reckoning will one day come. The party might also get a bit nutty and try to attack Val next time they bump into him, as they're not sure how old he is and they seem to blame him for a lot of things that he doesn't have anything to do with.

Well if he manages to get to ancient I also have some other alternative spell lists using the books I have mentioned. (mainly because I think a few more caster levels might make a difference. ;) ) In any case good luck V.

The only things Valmuuresh has shown personality wise:

He plays a mean game of chess, but fumes if he loses rather than flip out or act the spoilsport.

He also is fond of intimidation and the implied threat, as well as staging a scene for maximum squirm-response. He once stalked the party invisibly, leaving massive footprints in the ground before them down the length of a town street. He then polymorphed, unseen, into his human guise and appeared from nowhere to welcome the party to their deserted and burning home town. The look on their faces was the real motivator for Valmuuresh: he loves to see lesser creatures squirm. He knows the party is no match for him currently, so he toys and toys and toys...

Whoops, what was meant to be a bit of background starts to become a story hour! Sorry!

It happens V. In any case after reading your site, it's a very interesting little home brew you got going on. Good luck keeping it going.
