Hello! This is my first thread, and it's a request for help on stating a monster, so if there's a better place for this, please let me know (and sorry ahead of time)!
I'm trying to produce monster stats for Yrkhetep, an arcanaloth arcanadaemon, but I'm having a hard time as I'm not finding states for him specifically to based them on.
He plays a major role in the AD&D Campaign "Swords of the Iron Legion", in which he is trying to defeat Anthraxus the Oinoloth and take the Wasting Tower of Khin-Oin, located in Oinos in the plane of Hades. https://dnd.rem.uz/Advanced D&D (unsorted)/Forgotten Realms -I14 - Swords of the Iron Legion.pdf
I've been able to find stats someone made for Anthraxus: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/181611/Anthraxus-the-Oinoloth
From that, I'm trying to see what CR Yrkhetep would be. Arcanaloths in the MM (pg 313) are 15, but I want him to be closer to Anthraxus, so possibly 18-20? I also don't know how to balance out what arcanaloths already have while making him stronger.
Some facts I've been able to gather:
1. Description: Most commonly depicted as a dog-headed humanoid, devoid of hair, with translucent skin (showing muscles, bones, and organs beneath) and a single thick, slightly-curving horn extending from its forehead. https://ruins-of-adventure.obsidianportal.com/characters/yrkhetep
2. He can use Shape Change. He does this several times in Iron Legion, mainly into a human form.
3. He can drive people insane psionically (pg 8 of Iron Legion)
4. He can use Teleport, and does so several times in Iron Legion
5. Spells (may be too old for 5e): detect magic, charm person, magic missile (x3), invisibility, weakness, dispel magic, clairvoyance (x2), ice storm (x3), minor globe of invulnerability, dimension door, disintegration (x2), power word, blind, maze, meteor swarm
