Zombie Grab Ability

What tactical effect does the zombie grab have in combat? or grab in general for that matter? If the zombie grabs a PC, does that make it easier for other zombie's to hit that PC? do they grant combat advantage? Im gettting ready for some nasty zombie minions in the KoTS adventure and reading through it, its unclear what advantage grabbing a PC will give aside from making that grabbing zombie now unable to attack...

Movement is very, very important in combat now. Further, allies really need to work together. Immobilizing a rogue prevents him from getting the combat advantage he needs to do the damage that makes him a striker. Immobilizing the fighter prevents him from wading into the thick of things and forcing the enemies to focus on him. Immobilizing the wizard prevents him from getting away from enemies and thus not only leaves him vulnerable to attacks, it also makes him vulnerable to opportunity attacks as most of his powers are ranged.

Grabbing means the character grabbed is immobilzed until it escapes. If a mobilty type character is grabbed it can be very bad for it because it can't leave, shift or move.

Grab may seem a better action when you realize once you have grabbed someone you can continue to keep him "grabbed" as a *minor* action which means the zombie can continue to flail away at the grabbed character with it's stardard action. It might be pretty tough for a character not trained in Acrobatics or Athletics to escape the grab.

Thank you! I missed that part about maintaining a grab was only a minor action. so basically a zombie can continue to grab while it and its allies pound away on a PC especially a tricky shifty rogue!
