Zweihander Reforged Is Out In PDF On Drivethrurpg

Some Dude

Zweihander Reforged has been released in PDF:

It's the latest edition of Zweihander. Fully back compatible with previous editions, but with some changes to make it run faster and smoother. Not sure when the physical books will be available to purchase.

Looks like there are several new Ancestries, and some new Professions.

It's still big, but comes in at maybe a hundred pages less than the Revised edition.

Not really a new edition, just errata and a few tweaks from Flames of Freedom to the mechanics.
This is incorrect, and this is the second thread of mine that you've jumped into just to be negative.

There are new Ancestries, new Professions, the mechanics have been streamlined. There are several changes while maintaining back compatibility.

I get that you're not excited by the new edition. Sorry to hear that. But post after post from you, calling it a "rip-off", and "not worth buying", are getting tiresome.

Besides which, that's just your opinion, it's subjective, and it's not one I've seen anyone but you express, so far. It is certainly not reflective of the majority of people who've backed the new edition.

Now that you've said your piece, can we agree to disagree, and can you just move on? Your negativity is neither needed nor appreciated here.

My post in this thread did not suggest that it was a rip-off, or not worth buying.

And the fact is, the only changes to the combat mechanics are, as I noted above, just errata and a few tweaks from Flames of Freedom.

sigh

But your posts about this same subject in another thread did. In fact, they did more than suggest. "Rip-off" and "...not worth buying" are the exact words you used.

Fortune Points can now be used to reduce damage or Peril. This IS a change to the Combat rules, and not present in Flames of Freedom. So, aside from being tiresome and annoying, you're objectively wrong.

There are also other mechanics besides combat, you know...

Attribute generation has been changed. Fate Points have been removed.

Please, for the love of Grud, go be a drag somewhere else.

I made one post. You're the one who's bringing up all the drama. And you might want to actually read the book this time, and Flames of Freedom.

You made one post here. After crapping up a previous thread that mentioned Zweihander Reforged, with this same subjective and negative BS. You're the one bringing your drama into this thread, when you've already said your (incorrect) piece in another.

I have read Reforged, and FoF. What do you think I am wrong about here, rules-wise?

I'm perfectly calm. But, since you made specific allegations that I was wrong, I was wondering if you'd be so kind as to prove them. I'm perfectly willing to let this go, but any time you make claims, I'm going to ask you to back them up. That's reasonable.
I already answered that. Calm down; you're not doing the book any favors.
