  • Turnstone

A now vanished road-fort. Turnstone stood proudly on Calantar's Way, north of Immersea.

Turnstone's pastures saw horses aplenty, its stables always full of finely bred mounts. Small ponds dotted the fields. These were fed by minor streams running below ground from the King's Forest that emerged north of Turnstone and fed into the Wyvernwater.

Those same streams provided water for Turnstone's orchards, which produced apples by the cartload that were sold roadside and in market stalls in Immersea.

While time and erosion have erased the fort and reshaped the pasture, it has also revealed narrow, human-width openings in the face of the slopes out of which the streams still flow to this day. Few folk have ventured into the tunnels (or if they have, none have returned). None yet realize the stream tunnels open up after a short underground journey into a network of wedge-shaped tunnels and Upperdark passageways that run beneath the King's Forest.
