"You have my sword!" After a brief struggle Bell unsheathes it from her belt. She holds it up excitedly, then leans over toward Rhole and speaks in a near whisper. "I've always wanted to say that."

-''Well, any given drow could try any of those things, but few have the patience and time to do them all.''
Alnar grins in amusement at the thought of a race many times his lifespan being impatient and turns to the disembodied head.

Sooo, what is this thing that is missing look like? It's not an artifact of unspeakable power or anything like that, is it?

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
"I'm in too. You'll need another hitter besides yourself to keep all these fancy artistic souls alive." Martelai says with a wink.

"The stars reveal this will be harder then it seems as we'll need those of unfeeling flesh, which I suppose reffers to warforged. Altough it might refer to that tree friend of yours as well. As always, divination is easy to interpret only after the fact..."

[sblock=OOC]and, as always, player makes up something and DM can tweak the adventure to use it or refute it totally :)

“It does a have groovy feel to it! Story and/or song-worthy material!” Rhole whispers back. He looks embarrassed for a moment, then adds.

“Ehm… Can I borrow yours for a moment and try it out? I don’t even have a butterknife, and Rock’s is too puny and will break if I wave it around too much.”

Bell looks to the gnome, and then looks to the sword, and then looks to the gnome again. He's just a minstrel. . . this is a delicately attuned device. Then again, it doesn't seem like the residents of Haurton kept it in proper shape and that didn't phase it. Must be polite, after all, bards write the histories. She gingerly offers the sword.

"Careful. This once belonged to one of the founders of Haurton. I have not yet been able to research it's full history or discover all it's abilities but it will try and attune to any arcane tonal signals you give out."

“Thanks! Wow, you were at the Isle of Haurton? I have a cousin who went there to work at some Sea Foam Tavern.”

Brandishing Bell’s sword proudly in front of Charina, Rhole exclaims:

“And you have my… my, uh… or Bell’s…” the gnome looks confused, his voice taking on a distorted quality. “I… I think it’s doing that attunement thing. You should probably have it back.”

As an afterthought, Rhole brings out his instrument instead and strikes a chord, sending mystically amplified tones across the tavern.

“You have my Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper!”

Somewhere down from the Hanged Man’s wine cellar there is a loud crash, quickly followed by angry swearing.

“… And we should probably get going! Soon!”

"Dunno, I never seen it meself. See us Djaapana and Rripangu we forbidden to know the other's sacred business eh? Them Djaapana, they the protectors of the salt water. They make ceremony for sea ancestors, keep those tjurunga safe. Them salt water animals is like their, whaddaya call it?... totems, eh? The founders of their clan. Us Rripangu, we only keep the fresh water tjurunga, cause them fresh water fish, snake, and turtle is our totem. Got to keep it separate, eh? If the waters mingle the ancestors lose them power."

"See there's tjurunga for every kind of fish, snake, and sea animal, and each one look different. Each one shaped like spirit of the ancestor it connected to. Some of them connected to powerful ancestors, some of them just to little spirit. But the one gone missing is powerful, for true. It's the tjurunga of Marna, the Ancestral Shark. Him the greatest hunter of the Shifting Seas, protects the deepest waters. If them Djaapana don't get that tjurunga back for them ceremony, could mean big trouble in the deeps, eh?"

A worried look crosses the apparition's face, "That's why we need strong ones for our ambassador and scout. Need that tjurunga back, or no telling what might happen to our people."
